The Three Spot Cichlid (Amphilophus trimaculatum) is a large, red-eyed, and colorful Central American cichlid, which takes it’s name from the 3 distinct spots running down its lateral line, and whose natural habitat is in large lakes and slow moving rivers where is lives among submerged roots and branches.
Also known as the Trimac or Red-eyed Cichlid, they are fairly aggressive, predatory, and dig prodigiously. Therefore, a single specimen housed alone makes for a highly interesting “pet fish”, as do a mated pair. Otherwise, a single specimen with comparably sized fish, in a very large aquarium, are the best tank mates.
They will eat anything that they can fit in their mouth and rearrange the aquarium as they see fit: so give them a natural gravel substrate, rocks and bog wood, but most plants will not survive.

Hello,
We’re sorry to hear that you experienced an issue with your fish order. We received an email from you a few days after the fish were delivered stating only that “all the fish died,” without any additional information or photos.
Our DOA policy, which is listed on our website, provides for either a full refund or replacement for fish that arrive deceased, provided we receive proof of the DOA.
I’ve also reached out to you by both email and phone but haven’t yet received a response. We would still very much like the opportunity to make this right. To do so, we just need a little more information about what happened, including any photos or details you can provide.
Once we have that information, we’ll be happy to review the situation and work with you toward a resolution.

Healthy fish, arrived on time and in great shape. Ate the first night. Excellent customer service when I had questions about shipping. Highly recommend Fish Farmer's Daughter and will definitely order from her again. This was my second order from her; the first order was excellent also.
Bought a 5-7 inch Trimac from here it came next day box didn’t have anywhere it contains live fish on it no heat pack inside the styrofoam container bag was 50 and raining outside when delivered bag was taped up in black duct tape of some sort so I couldn’t see if the fish was alive or sick until I opened the bag it was leaking already and the water was cold and laying flat so had to act fast upon putting fish in tank noticed it had white spots all over its body and it body was all crooked like it was injured and had scrapes and scuffs all over it body paid alot of money for this fish I’ve bought a lot of fish online and have never had this poor quality of fish ever !
Fish arrived alive and healthy. I will be making them my only supplier of fish!
