The Tamasopo Cichlid (Herichthys tamasopoensis) is a Central American species native to the clear rivers of San Luis Potosí, Mexico. It features a shimmering silver body with iridescent blue and green spotting. When ready to breed they will develop a solid white base, and some may display a bold black marking under the throat. Growing to about 6–8 inches, this semi-aggressive cichlid does well solo or in pairs, and can coexist with similarly tempered tankmates in larger setups. These fish are hardy and easy to feed, thriving on a varied diet of pellets, frozen foods, and veggies. A beautiful choice for experienced cichlid keepers looking for something unique.

Please note, at this size the sex of fish cannot be 100% guaranteed.
