The Red Nyererei (Pundamilia nyererei) is a colorful African cichlid from Lake Victoria. Males are known for their bright red and orange coloring, dark vertical bars, and blue tones around the face and lower body. Females are usually more muted in color. They are active, territorial fish that do best in an aquarium with plenty of rocks, caves, and hiding places.
