The Green Terror, Andinoacara rivulatus, is popular among hobbyists for its stunning emerald green patterned body and vibrant orange outlined dorsal and caudal fins. Male green terrors are more colorful and develop a prominent nuchal hump on their forehead.
One of the unfussiest eaters in the trade, they are omnivores and can be fed a high quality protein sinking pellet along with brine shrimp, mussels, and Spirulina algae to help maintain their color.
They are aggressive by nature and one specimen per aquarium is typically best practice for the less experienced hobbyist. Tank mates need to be of similar size.
Water Conditions:
6.5 - 8 pH
5 - 25 KH
70 - 80 F
Breeding: Captive bred on our farm.
