Electric Blue Acara are one of the most beautiful brightly colored cichlids showing a magnificent electric blue, to a milder blue-green coloring, from an early age and with a stunningly contrasting orange tipped dorsal fin.
Making them even more attractive, especially to the novice hobbyist, is their easy-going and peaceful nature not only with each other, but also most any other fish the same size. They will be aggressive when spawning but, in our hatchery, we have even observed the females taking care of each other's young.
Male Electric Blues grow to about 5.5" inches and females to 4" and make an impressive addition to a community aquarium.
