The Black Ram (Mikrogeophagus ramirezi) is a striking color variant of the popular German Blue Ram, selectively bred for its bold, velvety black body with shimmering blue and gold highlights. This dwarf cichlid stays compact, usually reaching about 2–3 inches (5–7.5 cm) in length.
Peaceful by cichlid standards, Black Rams do well in community aquariums with calm tankmates. They are omnivores and enjoy a varied diet of high-quality flakes or pellets along with frozen or live foods such as brine shrimp, bloodworms, and daphnia.
They thrive in warm, soft, slightly acidic water, with an ideal temperature range of 78–85°F. A planted tank with hiding places and stable water conditions helps them show their best colors.

I placed an order for two black rams and they arrived alive, happy and full of energy. The package was phenomenal and just right for a trip to my house in below freezing temperatures. The box was very warm in side the box when I opened it. The heat pack enclosed did its job. Thank you for a great-experience.
